The 2 most popular sports in Ireland are Gaelic football and hurling. Irish football, also known as Gaelic football, is played by 15 players. The objective is to score goals by kicking or throwing/punching the ball.

Hurling is a unique Irish game, and its origins are in Ireland’s ancient Celtic culture. It is similar to hockey, with two teams of 15 players each.

Croke Park, is the largest stadium in Ireland and located in Dublin. It’s the main stadium to host Gaelic matches and it is used by the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association). The stadium also hosts music concerts, with a capacity of over 82,000.

The stadium is located only 30 minutes’ drive from Dublin’s city centre and CES Dublin – a family-run school, offering wide range of courses, including exam preparation and teacher training.

The home of Cork GAA in County Cork, the stadium is used to host important Gaelic Football and Hurling championships. It was officially opened in 1976 and recently re-developed. The seating capacity is 45,000 (4th largest Gaelic Football stadium in Ireland). It is also used to host music shows and big events.

Around 1-hour from Cork, Semple Stadium is the home of hurling and Gaelic football for Tipperary GAA in County Tipperary. It is the 2nd largest stadium in Ireland, with a capacity of just over 46,000.
