Warwickshire is a great place for your language course
Have you heard of Warwickshire? Just, a short journey from London, Warwickshire is a county in England, full of culture and history. There are some great things to see and learn about and you can enjoy exploring some of these in your free time. Warwickshire county is in the West Midlands of England. It’s full of history and as you start to find out about this area you will realise you probably already know something about it.
Have you heard of the famous play called Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare?
William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in 1564 and was a world-famous English poet and playwright, responsible for 39 plays including Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. His plays have been translated and staged more often than any other playwright. There is a small museum in Stratford-Upon-Avon open to the public which will tell you everything you need to know about William Shakespeare.
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre
Do you enjoy the theatre? Also located in Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Royal Shakespeare is a 1040-seat theatre dedicated to the poet and playwright William Shakespeare. It showcases all his plays with an authenticity that will take you back to medieval times. The costumes and sets are spectacular and there is no better way to enjoy Shakespeare’s works.
Would you like to visit an authentic medieval castle in England?
Warwick castle was built by William I in 1068. A day spent looking around this wonderful place will immerse you in English history and take you back in time. A visit will be well worth it. You can go on a guided tour and look at all the medieval items including some terrifying instruments of torture. It’s almost impossible to believe that all this happened there. To relax you can stroll around the beautiful gardens and enjoy the splendour.
