You should consider whether you would prefer a beach or city location as this is where you will spend your time outside classes.

Why choose to study near the beach in the U.K?

Studying English near the beach can be a great option for those seeking to escape city life and who prefer a smaller town with a quieter atmosphere.
Regardless of when you study, the free time after class and what you do outdoors (e.g. surfing, taking long walks by the sea or enjoying the sunset) and near the sea can really add to your experience. Studying near the coast/beach also means that everything is usually within walking distance!

In summer, most UK seaside towns like Brighton or Bournemouth host lots of festivals and music concerts and attract a lot of British tourists. It is also a great time to enjoy the beach, because of the long days of sunlight during the summer months (June to August). Coastal destinations also have great restaurants, pubs, and a fantastic nightlife with clubs, events, theatres, cinemas, and music concerts.

Brighton is one choice to learn English abroad. Known as “London by the sea” Brighton is only 50-minutes from Central London by train and offers all the entertainment of a big city with its restaurants, pubs, and clubs facing the sea, but has the pace of a beach town.

Slightly further from London but still easy to get to, Bournemouth is also a great destination for your course abroad.
