Broadstairs English Centre
About the school
Beautiful Broadstairs is a small coastal town about 130 km east of London. This popular holiday destination with its fantastic beaches and easy access to well-known cities such as London, Canterbury and Dover, makes it the ideal place for young students. If you want to learn English in a safe and truly British seaside town, this is the perfect choice for you!
Broadstairs English Centre is a family-run language school, located on the high-street and only a 10-minute walk from the seafront. The school itself is well equipped with 9 modern classrooms, a large hall with canteen and games facilities, a snack shop, a large activity room and a student residence wing on site. There is also the option to stay with a local host family, most situated within walking distance of the school.
The homestay option is pretty special in itself as Broadstairs English Centre was the first language school to offer training to homestay providers. Consisting of basic teaching techniques as used in the school, this ensures that learning can continue outside the classroom with your host family and maximises every opportunity to practise your English.
Young learner groups can choose between general English courses of various lengths from 5 nights to 4 weeks, and from between 10 and 20 hours per week. In addition, there are various English+ courses available including English and Drama and English and Art.
The most engaging English lessons are further enriched with great activities that offer something for everyone, including sports and exercise, trips out to explore the coast, quizzes, beach games and even filmmaking. There are so many added extras when you learn English at Broadstairs English Centre.
