Places to see in Liverpool when you study there
Luba’s 29th birthday and 15 years of the English language school LILA* … Today was a day with many celebrations !! We will also reveal some places we recommend you to see when you study in Liverpool.
LILA* (Liverpool International Language Academy)
We used the morning to meet at the school, talk a little more with the students and also attend the school’s birthday party and enjoy singing Congratulations to both LILA* and Luba!
LILA* is located in the centre of Liverpool and offers a variety of English courses, from General English, Exam preparation, Business courses and also Group courses for children and teenagers.
While we were at school we talked to two Brazilian students, Pedro and Francisco, to learn more about their experience of living and studying in Liverpool.
They said they are loving the city, the people and also the fact, the cost of living here is much lower than in London !!!
After getting to know the school, it was time to leave for the most awaited tour … The Beatles tour.
For 2 hours we visited several important childhood places of the four members of the band: John, Paul, George and Ringo.
It was great to know a little more about the history and the city where the greatest band of all time was formed!
Shortly after lunch, we were introduced to the area known as the Balt Triangle, which is a 10-minute walk from the centre of Liverpool.
The Balt Triangle is filled with graffiti and street art, skateboarding, and is the main space for creative businesses. There are also bars, restaurants and pubs. It is definitely one of many places you should see when you learn English in Liverpool.
The Cavern Club
There is no better way to end our busy day than at the World famous Cavern Club, where the Beatles performed for the very first time.
Founded in 1957, the Cavern Club is one of the most sought-after places in the city by fans of The Beatles. Even today, the bar has lots of bands playing and often has really great Beatles tribute acts. Today we learned a lot and had a great time … tomorrow there’s a lot more to see and explore!
