A day in Liverpool, the city of the Beatles & football

Time to say goodbye to London and leave for a brief 2-hour train ride to Liverpool, the city that lives and breathes music! There are so many street performers and music wherever you go, that the city was voted by the Guinness World of Records as the “international capital of pop.” We’re going to spend a day in Liverpool to learn a little more about the city where the greatest band of all time, the Beatles, was born.

Football stadium

With a wonderful day of sunshine! After a great walk through the streets of Liverpool, we went to the Anfield football stadium, the home of the famous Liverpool FC.

Unfortunately, we could not enter the stadium because an event was happening and it was not open for visitors, but we took advantage of the fact that we were there and went to the team store … a giant store with everything you can think of with the name of the team on it. We even found LFC-branded chocolate and lollipops!
